No dear, there is no need to qualify any entrance exam to enroll under M.Sc. (Mathematics) programme in LPU. 

It is designed to provide the opportunity to broaden knowledge in the several fields of mathematics and its applications. The learner has to do a project work keeping in mind the research centricity. It has the duration of  2 years. The eligibility criteria is -

Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (Any Discipline) (with Mathematics as a subject) or B.Tech. or B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent. In addition, the programme fees per semester is 50000 INR, without any scholarship. The maximum scholarship offer under this course is upto 70% in LPUNEST.

You can certainly pursue a course in journalism along with B.Com. The only advice I would want to reach upto you is that Journalism is more of a field of practical learning, on field experiences and Live set ups. Pursuing a course through correspondence [Assuming that you're pursuing B.Com (regular)] will help you fetch a good degree but not a creative job because it would require practical experience into role play as far as journalism course is concerned.
