Dear Shivam,
I do not know as to where you got this information. A graduate degree from a recognised University in India is recognised as equivalent to an Australian degree for the purpose of admission to a Masters course in the same or relevant field. If you are talking about a diploma from a private institution then yes it is not recognised, however, a diploma from a Government recognised polytechnic is taken as the equivalent in Australia.
