Game designing is about strong skills in quants and high creativity. Apart from these, you must meet academic requirements for specific universities. Good academic record throughout, extra curricular activities, IELTS/TOEFL score, GRE if you are looking for MS especially from US etc. You must also submit a portfolio of your work to the university. I will suggest you visit websites of popular game design colleges across the world for specific entry requirements.

! it totally depends on the personal interest that in which stream you want to get admission.all the streams are doing equally good and moreover their scopes are also same.Study about the stream and see if it benefits you in long run.here are some of the courses-Engineering, BCA BBA,BA,BSC,BCOM ,fine arts, Hotel Management etc out of which you can choose based on your interest.

It is really tough to directly comment on any institute best or not or answer which is the best institute in a city or country , especially for domains like web designing, animation and VFX/editing/post production or gaming etc. where many institutes offer many types of courses for different duration for the almost all the same pipeline .
We need to see the content of the course , duration, cost , infra, earlier students outputs and skill developed , in-time course completion record , certification process & delivery of certificate in time etc.

It is impossible to comment on the chances as of now. Since the Wait list is dynamic we don't have previous years data. I suggest you please be patient and check for further movements.
