Hi,
Scholarships are given by the universities on merit basis mostly. Usually no exams are required to be taken because these are given on merit. But it varies from university to university. Other than university scholarship you can check Fullbright Nehru Scholarship, British Council Scholarship, Commonwealth Scholarship, Aga Khan Foundation, etc.

The admission in both (IIST& IIT) are based on ranks obtained in JEE Advanced (Conducted among the JEE Main qualifiers). Candidates who are desirous to join the Undergraduate and Dual Degree Programmes offered by IIST are required to apply separately to IIST through the online application portal (http://admission.iist.ac.in) and complete the registration and fee payment process. Further both IIST and IIT-B are premier institution of National importance, Hence no comparison can be made.

I think that your scores do not depend on a coaching institution and so is your preparation. Every coaching is equal but Gravity Coaching Institute is the best.
