Yes, it is possible for students to change their major at MIT. Students can declare the major of their choice by the end of the first year.
To change your major, contact your new department's undergraduate academic officer, to gain information about how to transfer your completed work, from your previous department.
Further, students must also submit a Change of Major form, which takes immediate effect if submitted during the summer or week 8 of a term.
