All colleges and campuses under the university are international. It means that international applicants may get a place in their dream course through either of the colleges on either of the campuses.

With a focus on students and their welfare, Long Island University offers on-campus housing to all its interested students. However, admission to the university does not guarantee a direct room reservation. It must be done separately.

The acceptance rate of the university is 85% for all its national and international students.this makes it less selective in terms of admission which means out of 100 applicants 85 applicants have the chance of getting admission. The university has high admission standards. However, it is not difficult if you have a good academic background along with good SAT/ACT/GRE/GMAT and English proficiency scores.

Whether national or international, all applicants are judged based on their profiles and candidatures. The more suitable a candidate is, the higher the chances of admission. Students are more likely to be admitted with an excellent academic background.

All applications can be made online. The application process for all international students is simple. The process to apply to different graduate and undergraduate programs at Long Island University is the same. The step-by-step application process is explained below:

Step 1: Visit LIU Online Application Portal of university and click on ‘start an application’ button.

Step 2: Create a new account using an active email address.

Step 3: Choose the intended campus you want to study on.

Step 4: Choose the type of applicant you are, such as international graduate or international freshmen.

Step 5: Choose the term you want to get enrolled in.

Step 6: Start filling the form with all the details required about your citizenship, academic history, exam scores, etc.

Step 7: Upload the supporting documents and pay the application fee.

Step 8: Review and submit the online application.

For Undergraduate courses: 

Step 1:  You can apply through the common application portal. 

Step 2: Go to the website and select the course you are interested in.

Step 3: Make sure you meet the Entry requirements (Such as Academic qualifications, English proficiency, etc.)

 Step 4: Once you decide on the course, submit documents such as Transcripts and personal statements.  

 Step 5: You can track the application's progress through the UCAS  portal. 

Step 6: After you apply, you will usually get a reply to Undergraduate applicants within a couple of weeks via UCAS. 

Postgraduate Application Process 

Step 1: Select the postgraduate programme you are interested in from the UWS website.

Step 2: Ensure you meet the entry requirements for the chosen program, as these vary depending on the course.

Step 3: Complete the online application providing your personal information.

Step 4: Upload the required documents, such as academic transcripts, proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS), experience in your field and references.

Step 5: After you apply, you must log in to check your application status. 

 Step 6: If your application is successful, you will receive an offer from the University of Dundee. 

The eligibility criteria and language requirements for applying to different programs offered to international students at LIU are given below:

Eligibility Requirements for International Undergraduates -

The admission to undergraduate programs is based on high school grades or SAT or ACT results. Students must have a high school Diploma or certificate to secure admission to undergraduate programs.

Eligibility Requirements for International Postgraduates -

Students must have an undergraduate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution to be a part of the postgraduate programme in the university. A GRE or GMAT exam score may be required for most of the courses.

English Requirements for International Students -

International students coming from non-English-speaking countries, such as India, need to prove their language proficiency through either of the following standardized English exam scores:

1. MBA/Accounting/Taxation: TOEFL 85

2. MA Music or MS Music Education: TOEFL 85

3. MS in School Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling: TOEFL 85 or IELTS 7 bands

English Requirement Waiver-

English requirement can be waived if an applicant has completed two years of academic study in an approved English-speaking country such as US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or South Africa.

Note: These are generic requirements for graduates and undergraduates aspiring to study at the university. Some of the courses may have higher score requirements or different academic and language requirements. Please refer to the intended course page on the university website to check the exact limit on each course.

LIU has a rolling admissions policy, meaning that you can apply up until the beginning of the semester.

The total tuition fee for Integrated BBA-MBA is INR 14.02 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes other fee components like caution deposit, exam fee, etc. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection to Integrated BBA-MBA course will be based on national and university-level entrance exams like UPESMET UG, UGAT or CUET UG followed by a personal interview round. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. The application fee for UPESMET UG is INR 1,350. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode. 

Candidates after completing Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate can apply for the BBA course. The university offers BBA in 27 specialisations through the UPES School of Business. Some of the BBA specialisations, include Finance Management, Operations Management, Marketing Management and Human Resource, etc.

Additionally, UPES Dehradun admission to BBA course will be based on national and university-level entrance exams like UPESMET UG, UGAT or CUET UG followed by a personal interview round. Candidates must qualify the PI round for BBA courses under School of Modern Media. As soon as the selection rounds are over, candidates are called for document verification round. Shortlisted aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat. The total tuition fee for BBA ranges between INR 5.41 Lacs and INR 13.41 Lacs as per an unofficial source.
