UIET Chandigarh is a government institute. It is an engineering institute of Punjab University, Chandigarh, India offering Undergradute, Postgraduate as well as Ph.D. programs. The institute is affiliated with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Therefore, UIET Chandigarh is a government institute affiliated with a regulatory body of the Government of India.

For IIT Delhi M.Tech admission, candidates must have a valid GATE score. Aspirants are also supposed to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute. UIET does not offers any Master of Business Administration program. However, it offers five-year integrated Bachelor of Engineering (chemical)-Master of Business Administration course. A total of 56 seats are available for the five-year integrated Bachelor of Engineering (chemical)-Master of Business Administration course.

UIET Chandigarh fee varies course-wise. Candidates are required to pay the course fee at the time of admission to confirm their seat. The total tuition fee for BE is INR 3.4 lakh. The fee for ME is quite low than BE. It ranges between INR 38,800 and INR 1.1 lakh.

University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels in affiliation with Panjab University. The selection process for the Master of Technology programme at UIET Chandigarh is based on the GATE entrance exam. Candidates who have qualified for the GATE exam are eligible to apply for the Master of Technology programme at UIET Chandigarh.
