Yes, the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) offered at XLRI Jamshedpur is recognised as equivalent to the PhD course of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is a full-time, residential doctoral course offering studies in different fields of management and functional areas. XLRI FPM admission is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in several national-level entrance exams. 

Candidates who have completed BE/BTech degree or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% (50% for SC/ST candidates) obtained after completing higher secondary education can apply for FPM. No, the Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur does not offer any direct admission to its PGDM courses. However, XLRI does have a few seats under the management quota for which it offers direct admission. The direct admission process is competitive and difficult because of the limited number of seats available. The fees for direct admission are usually higher than the original fees. To be eligible for direct admission under the management quota: 

• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from an authorised institute or university.

XLRI Jamshedpur offers Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM), PGDM (GM), PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IEV and FPM courses at the postgraduate and doctoral levels.
