Anna University BTech admission is based on the TNEA counselling round. For Anna University BE admission also, candidates need to appear for the TNEA counselling. TNEA written exam has been scrapped and the counselling is based on Class 12 marks. The minimum eligibility criteria for the undergarduate courses at Anna University is a passing grade of at least 45% (40% for ST/SC students) in class 12. However, to apply to UG degrees at Anna University like BE and B.Tech class 12 marks are not enough. Since 2021, the exam has been revamped to be held in online mode using mobile phone, desktop/laptop with webcam and the headset/earphone.
