As per the eligibility criteria of UGC NET exam, a candidate should have a Master's degree in the relevant subject or a related discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved category candidates) to be eligible to appear for the exam. Since you have completed M.Com in management, you are eligible to appear for the UGC NET exam in the Commerce subject. The UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and/or for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Clearing the UGC NET exam is one of the eligibility criteria for the appointment of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across India. Qualifying for JRF allows candidates to pursue research in their respective fields at any university or institution in India. The JRF is awarded for an initial period of two years, which can be extended further based on the candidate's performance and research output.
