GMAT exams are flexible and you can take it whenever you desire. CAT on the other hand is once a year exam which is usually organized in November. Course curriculum is almost same for both and includes quantitative abilities, verbal and logical reasoning. However exam pattern is different, GMAT is adaptive where as CAT is not.

Now a days there are a lot of mechanical engineers in our country but there is a crisis of petroleum engineers.
I would recommend you to pursue petrol engineering as it as has high salary and even there a lot of jobs .

Well, since you have done the optional subject electronics in class 11th and class 12th, engineering or Bachelor of Science in electronics is a great course to pursue. However, you are very much eligible for other courses in engineering too. In case you have done the entrance exams, Bachelor of engineering is a good choice.

It is really tough to directly comment any institute best or not or answer which is the best institute in a city or country , especially for domains like animation and VFX or gaming where many institutes offer many types of courses for different duration for the almost all the same pipeline .
We need to see the content of the course , duration, cost , infra, earlier students outputs and skill developed , in-time course completion record , certification process & delivery of certificate in time etc.
Also Same Brand has different centers and branches and fortunately/unfortunately all does not perform the same . Some centers are doing great
