Dear Parikshith,
Lateral entry in B.Tech allows you admission in second year of B.Tech after 3 years of Diploma after class 10th or 2 years of Diploma after class 12th or B.Sc (Non-Med. Or Computer Science). You can appear for LEET exam, or go for university specific exams or even go for direct admission subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Universities like LPU, DIT, Mangalyatan, Chitkara, etc. are offering B.Tech Lateral entry. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students, apart from good placements. Some even offer scholarships to meritorious students. Good luck.

Hello Abhay,
Normally speaking, states are quite conservative in giving admissions to students from other states. However, I would advise you to download brochure released by DTE of Maharashtra for eligibility and other aspects of lateral admission. Go through it and you will find the process for registering for lateral admission.
