Because the XAT is a post-graduate course test, the minimum eligibility requirement is a bachelor's degree. There is no minimum graduation mark needed for XAT. All that is required of an applicant is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Students who are in their last year of their bachelor's degree or are awaiting their results are also eligible to take the XAT test. Working professionals with a bachelor's or master's degree, as well as those with professional degrees (CA/CS), are eligible to apply.

Candidates should keep in mind, however, that universities accepting XAT scores have graduation eligibility requirements of at least 50% (45% for Reserved category students).

XAT application form filling process includes three steps – online registration, application form filling and payment of fees. Candidates have to complete all these three steps before the deadline to be eligible for appearing in the XAT exam. Check below a brief description of how to fill the XAT application form.

• Log on to XAT website
• Click on 'Registration' tab
• Enter details like name, phone number, email ID, password and captcha code
• The XAT ID and registration link will be shared in email ID
• Click on the link to verify registration
• Go to homepage and click on ‘login’
• Enter email ID and password
• You will be taken to the student dashboard
• The XAT application form will be displayed
• Enter relevant details in mandatory fields
• Cross check the information before saving the form
• Pay the XAT exam fee through credit/debit card, UPI or net banking

Candidates have to option to select two cities for allotment of XAT exam centre. The exam is held in 79 cities across India and you can choose any two cities as per your choice. While selecting the test cities for exam centre allotment, candidates must note the following:

• Select your home city or the city of your current residence as your first city of preference.
• Select the second city of preference as the one to which you can easily make arrangement of travel and stay in case you are allotted a centre there.
• The exam authorities strive to allot the exam centre in the city of first preference.
• At the same time, they have the right to cancel an exam centre in case there is not enough number of students or due to any other unforeseen situation.

The XAT 2024 test will be held in 79 cities across India, including new locations such as Shillong, Jorhat, Rajkot, Tejpur, and Naharlagun. To accommodate applicants from various locations, the exam is often offered in many test centers. Some of the prominent cities where XAT is conducted include Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam. During the registration procedure, candidates can select their desired exam center depending on their convenience and accessibility.

Candidates seeking admission to XLRI Jamshedpur do not need to complete a separate application. The XAT application form 2024 will feature a box for candidates to specify the XLRI course in which they wish to enroll.

However, on the XAT 2024 application form, aspirants may only pick XLRI Jamshedpur as a desired college. In the application form, there is no opportunity to pick other XAT-accepting universities. When applications for XAMI member institutes or other MBA colleges accepting XAT scores open, you will need to register individually on their respective official websites. After the XAT results are announced, the majority of XAMI institutes begin the MBA application process.

To edit information entered in the XAT application form, candidates need to choose the 'EDIT' option and click on save option to make changes. Candidates can choose 'EDIT' option only before submitting the XAT form not after that. Candidates must a take fresh print out of the duly filled XAT application form after modifying any details. There is no provision of form correction in XAT, unlike other MBA entrance exams where candidates are given a window of 2-3 days to edit their form, XAT has no such provision. So, candidates need to ensure that they fill the right entries and if required make the changes before fee payment or form submission. Once the form is submitted they cannot edit it. They will have to fill another form and pay the exam fee again.

However, incase it is extremely necessary, then candidates can raise a query at 'Any Query? Ask Us' option on their XAT dashboard.

On July 15, 2023, the XAT 2024 registration and application procedure was made available. The application period will be open until December 30, 2023. Previously, the deadline was November 30, 2023. Candidates may submit their application forms till 11:59 p.m. on the deadline date. On July 14, 2023, XLRI Jamshedpur announced the application deadline for XAT 2024.

The form is filled out online, and candidates must create a login ID before filling out the XAT application form on the xatonline website. There is no way to submit the XAT form offline. Candidates will be qualified to take the XAT exam only if they complete the application form correctly and on time.
