Babu Banarasi Das University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university accepts national-level entrance exams like CLAT, CAT, etc., for admission to specific courses. The mode of Babu Banarasi Das University course admissions is primarily online. The university offers courses in multiple streams like Engineering, Management, Law, Architecture, etc. In addition to this, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 and graduation.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University - PIT BATALA admissions are based on merit for the courses, specifically through the Class-12 scores. Candidates must meet the minimum required aggregatre to be eligible for admission. Candidates applying to the UG courses are given the final admission offer based on their academic rigour. Candidates can pay the course fee to secure their seat. 

Babu Banarasi Das University offers courses at the UG, PG, PhD, and Certificate levels. The University offers respective courses on the basis of merit and entrance exam. The fee structure of the respective courses includes a total tuition fees ranging from INR 4.5 K to INR 21.8 Lakh. Admission to the respective courses is offered on the basis of the minimum aggregate secured in Class 12 and graduation along with accepted entrance scores. 

To qualify in HPTU BTech, applicants should score 45 percent in Class 12 containing physics and mathematics. 40 percent aggregate is required by reserved category students. The third subject can be Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or Technical Vocational. To apply, it is required that these criteria should be met.

Admission to HPTU BTech programs is based on scores in JEE Main or HPCET. Candidates can apply with either of the exam results. Selection is strictly merit-based, considering entrance test performance. Higher scores increase the chances of getting preferred specialisation.

HPTU provides BTech in 9 specialisations viz; Mechanical, IT, CSE, Electronics, and Textile Engineering. The programs are technical education that is relevant to the industry. Students acquire practical knowledge together with the theory. The programs last four years.
