Yes it's possible. But you'll have a hard time clearing the engineering entrance exams particularly chemistry. Also, you have to study basic chemistry in your first year. It's definitely possible but you better start studying chemistry. All the very best. Feel free to ask more questions.

It is better to first clarify, either event or hotel management?
Both are two different things. So, first focus on anyone as pursuing my hotel management from IHM-Chennai, it is the second ranked college in India for hotel management. Don't worry about the entrance exam. It is very easy and if you have basic IQ, you can easily clear the exam.
