You can preparing for CAT either by coaching classes or by self study. It depends on you, what will be more helpful to you. Last year CAT percentile cut off for getting FMS call was 98.2 .

For getting into banks there are many ways. You can join as a clerk in nationalised banks by appearing for IBPS Examinations. You can also apply for Probationary Officers (PO) Examinations after becoming a graduate (first class is mandatory or higher second class in masters degree).
