First of all, UGC and AICTE are two apex organizations that cater for the higher studies in India. I think one of the main difference between AIU and UGC in India University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is that the later one basically deals with technical education.

As per web sources, only candidates whose age is less than 25 years as on 1st of July in the year of appearing in the entrance examination are eligible to apply as per CS University and Bar Council of India norms.

Yes, it's compulsory. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects with minimum 60% marks. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of JEE score.

In NITIE, only people from engineering background are allowed to take admission. The following are the criterion for the same:
minimum 60% marks in 10th ,12th and graduation for general category. (55% for backward castes) CAT percentile for PGDIM : 97.5 for General category (drastically lower for backward castes)
GATE cut off for PGDIE: Varies from branch to branch. GATE score of more than 609 should ensure a call.
Work experience : No bar. Students in their final year can also apply (Tip: People with more than 5 years work ex should opt for executive courses like the one offered at Great Lakes or ISB).
