1. To become a lawyer, you need to get a degree in law by taking up a five-year Bachelor of Law (B.A. LL.B) degree course after completing your higher secondary education (Class 12) or by pursuing the three-year B.A. LL.B after obtaining a bachelor's degree in any discipline.

3. You must have strong analytic skills, good interpersonal skills and a keen understanding of the basic principles in order to successfully settle as a Lawyer.
4. After obtaining degree, you can practice as a lawyer. To specialize in any specific law, it may be a good idea to pursue a post-graduate law degree or diploma courses in related field
5. You can join either the Bar Council of India or a local or state bar council by submitting an application.

University of Madras, Department of Psychology, Chepauk Campus offers M.Sc.Human Resource Development Psychology. These are the University claims :
The unique feature of the course is that the students in their fourth semester are placed for internship in different multinational organizations for a minimum of three months. They either do projects proposed by the organizations or in areas of their own interest with research guidance from the HR manager of the organization and the respective supervisors from the Department. They attend the organization from Mondays to Thursdays and on Fridays they meet their guide for reporting their progress in the project or the work allotted for them to proceeding further. Based on the performance and the merit of the students, most of them get placed in the same organizations without any formal campus recruitment. Similarly, during the first year, students are provided with the opportunity to visit different institutions, industries/organizations for hands-on experience and for the practical exposure which will be helpful during the internship.
