For all practical purposes, AMIE is considered as equivalent to graduation and anyone who has completed it can compete in any exam for which basic eligibility is graduation. Yes, definitely you are not eligible for economics hons, as it requires math as a subject in class 12th. Now, if you wish to study economics, then either you can go for BA Programme and take economics, as a subject or go for any hons course and take economics, as your Generic elective. If you take it as your GE for all four semester then you might get a minor in economics.
