The right time to take SAT is when you are ready and fully prepared. Most students take SAT at least twice. Some take thrice. But the best time to take SAT is when you feel you are ready for it and can score well.
Most students take their first SAT after their 10th grade or in Middle of 11th grade. They take it again in the summer break between 11th and 12th grade.

BHMS has a better scope. After completion of BHMS, you can opt for the following:
MD is Masters Degree Level.
Ph.D is Doctoral Degree Level.
It is best to finish both.
However, you should watch ICMR Website for announcement of Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) - Rs. 16000/- per month, & Senior Research Fellowship(SRF) - Rs. 24,000/- per month approx, for your PG and Ph.D. studies respectively. Also you must not forget to tick yes in the box for "Lectureship also".
You need this lectureship to apply for Assistant Professors & Associate Professors in government medical colleges.
Your pay packet at end of the first month itself will be about Rs.
