GRE is a exam which need to be taken by students who wish to pursue MS in engineering and related fields from USA and Germany, GRE score are one of the important eligibility criteria to get admission in universities in US, a good GRE score increases the chance of getting admission good universities.
In August 2011, the GRE revised General Test, replaced the GRE General Test.
The tests has various sections namely:
Verbal Reasoning:
It measures student's ability to analyze and evaluate written material and get information from it.
Quantitative Reasoning:
It measures student's ability solve the problem.
Analytical Writing:
It measures student's critical thinking and analytical writing skills.

In order to get admission in undergraduate course in UK, you need to have:
Good academic background, preferably 60% plus in 12th.
Relevant 12th degree from recognized education board.
IELTS score of 6-7 bands plus.
IELTS is the exam which need to be taken by all the international students whose first or native language is not English.IELTS has 4 section namely:

For the preparation, the exam can get very tough if the candidate is not prepared. The candidate will need to be familiar with the current news and other happenings of the Indian economy. Candidates can read guide books, newspapers, journals and even watch television for important news reports. No, the admission process for 2011 is over.
The admission is based on merit lists prepared under Government approved modalities. The Detailed prospectus for admission is brought out every year by Directorate of Technical Education.
The prospective candidate should compulsorily have the GCET score for obtaining admission to this college. The Centralized Admission Cell at DTE- Goa, Porvorim, conducts Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) for admission to Bachelors of Engineering Courses in this college. The sale of GCET Application forms and prospectus usually starts in the month of March. The soft copy of the GCET prospectus can be downloaded from DTE-Goa website www.dtegoa.gov.in. The GCET normally held in the month of May and results are announced within 15 days from the date of examination.
The aspiring candidates wanting admission to Bachelors of Engineering courses should apply to Centralized Admission Cell at DTE- Goa with GCET score after GCET examinations. The applications are ordinarily accepted during month of May. The eligibility list and merit list based on GCET score will normally be displayed in the month of June. The centralized admission counselling are conducted at DTE office.
