The minimum eligibility to pursue the course is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 in Science stream with Physics Chemistry and Maths as the main subjects and the minimum score of 60%. Hello Sunil,
Merchant Navy is a dream for many youngsters. It excites them. Idea of visiting different countries, fabulous salaries, etc. all play a part. In India too, use of water as means of transportation is going to increase. Hence, opportunities for employment are going to be great.On the other hand, aeronautical engineering has shown immense potential but my analysis says that opportunities are very limited. Opportunities are there in aviation but not in aeronautics. Hence, I would advise you to opt for merchant navy.
