Hi Arindam, as you are already through with the diploma course, you may go for lateral entry scheme.
Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates with a diploma in engineering can apply for the course. The diploma holders should have scored a minimum aggregate pass mark as per the university rules.
The lateral entry examination has many advantages :
*The students selected for the course can directly get admitted for the second year classes.
*The candidate can save one year through this scheme and need not study the basic subjects that they have studied earlier.
*The candidate will gain familiarity with the subjects and this helps them to understand and study the subject with ease and interest.
But, not to forget, lateral entry rules differ from one university to another so I would suggest you to please directly contact the university officials.
As for LPU i.e., Lovely Professional University, a private university, it is included in the list of universities maintained by UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.

As per the norms and policies of 2012, the eligibility criteria for B.tech is 70% in 10+2 with (Phy., Maths & Eng) **
OR
50% in 10+2 with (Phy., Maths & Eng) **+ AIEEE National Rank (upto 1.5 lac) / AIEEE State Rank or State Tests (cut off defined sep.) /SAT(50%ile)
OR
50% in 10+2 with (Phy., Maths & Eng)** + LPU NEAT-UG
** For Biotech -- Physics, Chemistry & Eng. and rest all same
In Case of B.Tech The Standard fee for the B.Tech Programme is Rs.69500 per Semester.
In case %age is between 70% - 79.99% or Rank in AIEEE is 25001-50000 then fee is Rs. 49,500 per Semester.
In case %age is between 80% - 89.99 % or Rank in AIEEE is 10001 -25000 then fee is Rs. 29,500 per Semester.
In case %age is above 90% or Rank in AIEEE is 1-10000 then fee is Rs.19,500 per Semester.
Plus Rs.1250 Per Semester examination fee
