A candidate should fulfill any of the following criterion in order to apply for Ph.D research programme at Mumbai University:
1. Candidates should hold Masters Degree/ M.Phil Degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks in total for general category and 50% marks in case of reserved category.
2. The applicant should be a teacher having full time teaching experience of at least two years in Degree College or five years in Junior College.
3. The candidate must be a graduate and working in National Laboratories/ Institutes/ Government/ Private organisation

Eligibility is as per age Limit. The candidates who wish to apply for the courses must not be less than 21 years of age. There is no such relaxation for any reserved category such as SC/ST or OBC.
