I'll answer this question in a very straight forward way. SOIL provides certification and accepts application from candidates with work experience for their PGPM program which has 3 specializations (analytics, finance & marketing) and candidates with/without prior experience can enrol for their PGPM Human Resources program. Talking about spending a hefty amount at SOIL, they give weightage to your previous work experience. The candidates have real good chances of doubling their salary in a year which I guess can't be fulfilled by colleges on the same lanes as SOIL even if you go for PGDM courses. I would also like to concur that the highest package offered in my batch was INR. 17 LPA, so doubling the salary should be within permissible limit. Non-thesis Masters degrees (also referred to as taught, professional, or course-based Masters) are delivered through a series of lectures and seminars and assessed based on course-work, projects, and exams. For example, In many universities, non-thesis students also have the opportunity to develop some research skills when working on a research paper, a project or a capstone (please note: not all non-thesis Masters programs have a project or capstone). A thesis Masters degree is research intensive. Students enrolling in this type of programme are expected to develop a research proposal and complete a thesis under the close supervision of a faculty member at the university. The length required differs by university, with some going over 50 pages. Although the thesis Masters does include some coursework, the classes are mainly focused on theory and research methods, and students spend most of their time reading, collecting data, analyzing results, and writing a thesis. A thesis Masters degree is more suitable for you if:

2. You have an inquisitive nature.
3. You enjoy writing and reading a lot.
4. You enjoy working independently
5. You would like to prepare Yourself for a career in research and development (R&D) and/or academia. A non-thesis Masters degree is more suitable for you if:
1. You enjoy learning about a wide range of topics within your field of interest
2. You enjoy attending and participating in courses and lectures
3. You enjoy group work and projects, rather than writing
4. You have a career goal in mind and you want to develop a specific set of skills for it
5. You are more comfortable applying what others have researched and tested.

If you have applied for both BBA and B.Sc Economics programs and there is a common entrance exam (SET), then your admission will be based on your performance in the SET exam.
After the SET exam, the participating colleges will release their cutoff scores for each program. If you have scored above the cutoff score for a particular program, you will be eligible for admission to that program.
It is possible that you may be eligible for admission to both the BBA and B.Sc Economics programs if you have scored above the cutoff scores for both the programs. However, you will have to choose which program you want to take admission in, based on your preference and the availability of seats.
