I think VIT Vellore is better than SRM Chennai, from SRM University it is now SRM institute of Science and technology because of no Research infrastructure. But yes SRM provides good sort of Placements. There are three campuses of SRM in Chennai area Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram.

Previous years question papers are very helpful and big hints in JEE Advanced preparation. So solve at least last 10 years of question papers. Time management is another very important aspect in solving question papers, so solve easy questions first. Mock tests of JEE Advanced are also helpful and giving direction of upcoming JEE Advanced. So attempt these very carefully in time.

Hello, going abroad is quite beneficial however see that the college you are enrolled into is reputed and has good reviews. Check out the internship opportunities they offer, corporate tie ups they have,research works etc.

Have you decided which country you want to apply? From affordable point of view Germany, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore are good options. You need to check university websites for fee and other information, but they all are quite affordable. The admission process for the batch of 2016-18 started in 2015. The entrance tests were held in November, 2015 and interviews were conducted in Feb-March 2016. For the batch of 2017-19, notification will be out by July. The entrance test will be held in November while results for the same will be declared by December-Jan. This will be followed by interviews.
