Hello Anup, you are definitely eligible to seek admission for engineering graduation after completion of your Diploma examination. You have done Diploma in mechanical engineering and this will definitely enable you to seek lateral admission in all related courses. In Maharashtra the admissions are based on the marks obtained in Diploma examination and hence if you desire to get admission in your desired Institute and desired branch then you better study well and score as much as you can in your Diploma examination. You will need a high CAT score. Anything above 99% would be good to have bright chances. Also it depend on 10th, 12th marks & GD/PI. So you will need a minimum 1 year of serious CAT preparation. With a score range of 97-99 you can also try newly opened IIM, XLRI, DMS IIT, KJ Somaiya, PUMBA, GIM, NIBM, NIT Trichy etc.
