Microbiology is a good subject and lot of opportunities are coming up for it in pharma industries, hotel busienss, food sector etc. The new policy of Govt for FSSAI has increased the scope of microbiologists tremendously.

The preferable would be to do it separately as is the general norm still in India. In this case you may even change your college for M.Tech and can try for IIT, but you need to give an exam in between for M.Tech. But still I think doing separately is preferable Harish.

Yes, from what I've seen, LPU does have some students getting placed in BPOs, especially if they are looking for entry-level roles or want to start working quickly. These usually come under mass recruiters during placement drives.

But honestly, it's not limited to BPOs. LPU also brings in companies for core roles, IT, management, etc. Compared to many colleges, you get more variety here, so it depends on your skills and what kind of job you're aiming for.
