Candidates are required to opt for Entrance or Merit mode of admission depending on their percentage in qualifying degree put against the minimum percentage criteria decided by the university for each mode separately. Admission to the students of the University of Delhi will be only on the basis of merit mode. Final Admission
Separate lists will be published for each category consisting of merit rank in qualifying exam or rank obtained in the entrance examination. University will approve the admission on submission of requisite documents and fees. For more information, click here:

I think, there will be fifty multiple choice questions each containing 2 marks for correct response and -0.5 for wrong answer. 35 number of questions for physics (if physics major) and math, chemistry, Bio each contribute 5 questions I.e, 15 questions from non major part.

No exact answer can be given as admission in SASTRA is on the combined basis of boards and Mains score.
Since you have a low boards percentage, you can only get into it if you have good Mains marks.
However, the branch is non-core, hence the competition will not be much.

Well, the JEE Mains exam and also the results are done. I wish the results are as per desired. Now, as the marks and ranks are in your hand, the question is how to get admission into Tezpur University.
There are two ways to get into Tezpur University engineering department.
The popular JoSAA counseling
If you are a resident of North East India, you have the privilege of applying separately for admission in this institute. The reason being, that 60% of the total engineering seats are reserved for NE students, the rest for all India.
In both the cases, JEE marks or ranks is only considered. Statewide exams will not help any way.

Yes, your class 12th marks will affect your placement, but if you want to pursue Polytechnic with lateral entry, then this class 12th marks will matter. And, if you want normal Diploma, then it doesn't matter. And also, sometimes it depends on recruitment board or recruiter.

Actually, no entrance exam is there to do BBA.
Its a under-graduate course which means if you wanna get admission in BBA, you should score nice percentage in your 12th boards.
Firstly, you should look for the good colleges list and check their cut-off lists so as to assure your goal of scoring much better marks than the prescribed marks in cut-off lists.
