It is very difficult to compare between these two courses as the two courses are some what dissimilar in contents. Mechanical Engineering is called ever green branch in our country as Mechanical Engineers find placements in almost all segments in industry. But considering the trends in industrial growth in our country, ECE is not a bad choice at all. The choice depends on your aptitude.

Presuming that you re pursuing a 3 year recognised diploma from a Polytechnic College, you can opt for lateral entry admissions to a B Tech programme through lateral entry admission tests conducted by the state. But in case you are pursing a diploma from summer schools, you'd write engineering entrance examinations conducted at state/national level for admissions to a B tech programme. Besides B Tech, other option includes B Sc followed by M Sc in IT. In fact, career opportunities in IT segment in our country are heavily affected by global recession.

Siddharth,
Let me compare - BSc gives you a broad based vision and knowledge on sciences, and BFA gives a broad based vision and knowledge on creative arts. Why do you want to compare BSc and BFA, please state your goals. Also, on what areas do you want to compare them. And if you are comparing BSc (Animation) with BFA do remember BFA has 4 years and hence more to learn. BSc skips the most important part - that is drawing by hand (preproduction). So you would have to take up Animation Film Design elsewhere.
However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportu

Janvi, Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design and Animation. At this stage, you may want to understand the creat
