Hi Amartya, There is no discrimination of boards in NITs. Its your capability to earn good percentage with hard & planned work & most importantly do good in your JEE Mains exams, scoring about 60% marks minimum to get a good NIT with good specialization.

As you have asked this question under Germany, I would like to say that Germany is a country known for its technical advancement and a Masters from Germany would be a good option. Also, as education in Germany is government funded, there is a possibility that you might have to give a minimal fee ranging between euro 140-500.
