CUSAT is a central university located near Kalamassery, Cochin. there is news that government is planning to convert it to IIEST very soon. Fee structure is moderate for B Tech at CUSAT. At IIIT fee may be on a slightly higher side. It all depends on which stream you would like to pursue. You may be more inclined towards traditional streams, I suppose. CUSAT does have a campus at Pulinkunnu near Alappuzha in Kerala.
