If a candidate cancels his/her admission by submitting a written request for withdrawal, the following refund rules will apply:
1. The registration fee is non-refundable.
2. The admission fee is non-refundable.
3. If a student after being granted admission pays the seat acceptance fee but does not register with the institute on the prescribed date, withdraws his admission and applies for refund, the entire fee paid by him/her shall be refunded except for the non-refundable registration fee and admission fee paid at the time of counselling.
4. If a student after being granted admission pays the seat acceptance fee and registers with the institute on the prescribed date but withdraws his admission later and applies for refund before the date of final counselling for admission for the particular year, his/her admission fee and registration fee paid at the time of counselling will be forfeited. The other fees paid by him/her will be refunded.
5. A student who withdraws his/her seat after the final round of counselling for admissions for that year has taken place, he/she will not be entitled to refund of any fee paid by him/her except for the refundable deposits.

To apply for Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) at Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh, candidates can follow these steps:
1. Online Registration: The online registration for B.Des. admissions 2025-26 started on 5th May 2025 and the last date for online registration is 25th June 2025 till 5:00 PM.
2. Document Verification: After online registration, candidates need to undergo document verification. The document verification for all registered candidates will take place on 30th June 2025. If a candidate misses this date, they can still verify their documents on 9th July 2025.

The admission procedure involves an Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET). Candidates should not be more than 22 years of age on July 1st of the year of seeking admission. The B.Sc. (Hons.) Geology programme consists of core courses and geological field training, with eleven core courses covering major branches of Geology.
