Hello candidate, the minimum eligibility criteria for getting admission to BTech Aeronautical Engineering at popular Indian colleges is a minimum of 50-60% marks in Class 12, which may vary depending on the college/university. Further, you must have completed your Class 12 with a Science stream with 50-60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects (PCM). 

Rest, for the reserved category students, there is some sort of marks relaxation in the eligibility criteria that you can check by visiting the official websites of the colleges. The admission to the course is given on a merit basis and/or entrance exam scores that may vary

A total of 1590 seats are available for BTech programmes at HITS Chennai. The seat intake varies for each of the course specialisation. Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science has the highest seat intake for CSE course - 480, followed by aerospace engineering and aeronautical engineering with 180 seats. The seat allotment is carried out based on HITSEEE scores. It must be taken into account that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

If you can afford to study for 2 more years. M.Tech (especially from IITs/NITs) is recommended to get better technical roles in aeronautical sector. If you need to work immediately, gain 1-2 years of experience and then decide on higher studies.

Yes, internship is part of the course curriculum. Candidates have to undergo in internship in the third or last semester of the course. It is included in the curriculum to ensure students get hands-on experience of the work in the job field. The students have to do an internship and submit the project file at the university.

JEE main examination for Session 1 of 2025 is announced to be conducted from 22 January to 31st January 2025 and second session from 1st to 8th April 2025 tentatively in month of April. You can fill this form from the NTA website which is the conducting agency for this examination.
