For B.Com regular, maximum 50% pass in intermediate level not only for B.Com for a degree maximum 50% only. For SC & ST, only 35% for B.Com.

It totally depends on what you opt for during your engineering and what you want to do in your career. It's completely a personal option. Do what you want to do or stick with your passion.
