To the best of my knowledge and information supreme court of india has not yet allowed distance education for engineering graduation. However if you have anything better idea about this I would like to be educated. Best wishes to you.

You can pursue various opportunities after 12th Humanities. Some of them are :
1. Law
2. Teaching
3. Civil Services
4. Bachelor of Arts (B.A. )
One of the most important thing you should keep in mind before pursuing anything is to make clarity about your needs, expectations and your dream. You should collectively resemble all of these things that will help you to decide as well as pursue easily.

You haven't mentioned about you wrote JEE Mains or not. If you wrote JEE Mains, you are under stream 1 so that you can have a chance of getting last branch seat
If not under stream 2, it's hard to get in main campus so try fir kumbakonam campus of sastra. Wish you luck.

You can get seat in sastra as you haven't preferred any branch. You may have chance to get mechatronics or bio engineering branches in main campus of sastra.
