BITS didn't mushroom yesterday - it was there for 50 years ( mba for 40 odd years) and it will be there with a rich culture. I can tell you what makes bits stand apart- I as an aspirant values brand name that sustains centuries - ranking experts and importantly PS curriculum- 6 month industry exposure is something u won't get at any other B-School in India- and on the outset- everyone at BITS is change initiator and does things on their own. So overall I would say it would be a wise decision for the one who joins the College.
Now let me tell u the facts : I don't believe that the Institute BITS-Pilani itself needs any description. U will get to know the value of the brand once u passed out from here & join the corporate world. Secondly with regards to Placements, see there are two doors/junctions to showcase your talent & grab the opportunity : 1. Through on-campus during 3rd Sem 2. Through PS during 4th Sem Placement record is almost 100% after combining both the above mentioned opportunities. When I use the word 'almost' I mean to make a concern towards those 1 or 2 students in the batch who are in exception category due to their track record during MBA or their wish to pursue Higher studies. Average and Median hovers around 9 L.
