Chandigarh University has its own entrance exam which is Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test 2025 (CUCET). The eligibility criteria is also not that tough, if you have passed 12th class with 50% or more marks from any recognised board like CBSE, PSEB, ICSE, or any state/national board, you can apply. The application process is also simple. First, you apply for CUCET. Applications are open in both online and offline modes, so you can choose what suits you. But the exam itself is completely online. Once you give the exam, the results will be sent to your email. You can also check them on the official website by logging in to your account.

And the syllabus is different for different programs and courses, it depends upon you on which programme you wanna enroll in.  This exam is not only just about admission. It also helps in getting scholarships. So, if you score well, you will get some good benefits too. The process is smooth and student-friendly.

Yes, percentage matters in some programs but you don't have to worry if you have not scored good marks in 12th, because Chandigarh University has their own entrance exam which is Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). The test is a super easy test and it is based on what students already study in school.  With basic study and practice, students can clear it easily. 

If you score between 90.01 to 100 marks, you can get 100% scholarship on your tuition fee. For scores between 80 to 90, the scholarship is 40%. If you get between 70 to 79.99 marks, you receive 30% scholarship. A score from 60 to 69.99 gives you 20% scholarship, while 50 to 59.99 marks offer 15%. If your score is between 40 to 49.99, you are eligible for a 10% scholarship. Even with 30 to 39.99 marks, you are still eligible for admission, though without a scholarship.

Taking admission in Chandigarh University is very simple. There are two ways to apply—either through the CUCET exam or by taking direct admission. Most students prefer the CUCET route as it also gives a chance to win scholarships.

First, if you choose the CUCET option, you have to register online at cucet.cuchd.in. After filling the form and paying the registration fee, you can select your exam date. The test is conducted online and is based on the course you want to join. After the exam, your result and score will be shown on the same portal. If you qualify, you will receive an offer for admission. Then you have to pay the admission fee and upload your documents like mark sheets, ID proof, and photo for verification. Based on your CUCET score, you can also get a scholarship up to 100%.

Now, if you don't want to give the test, there's another way—direct admission. This is mostly based on your marks in previous classes. But keep in mind, direct admission may not make you eligible for CUCET scholarships. So if you want some fee benefit, it's better to appear for the exam. Both ways are open, and the university keeps the process very smooth and student-friendly.

If you study properly with good dedication and hard work, scoring good marks becomes easy. But if you take studies lightly, it can be tough. Chandigarh University gives a fair chance to everyone. The syllabus is not too hard. If you attend classes and revise, you can score well. Some questions are easy, some are tricky, but nothing is out of syllabus.

Yes, Chandigarh University offers admission in some courses and programs without an entrance test. If you want to do a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), you need to give CUCET. The same goes for MBA and special MBA programs. Law programs like BA+LLB. BBA+LLB and B.Com+LLB also need CUCET. If you want to do pharmacy courses like Phram D, B Pharmacy, or M. Pharmacy in different specializations, then a test is needed. MBA and special MCA programs also need it. Even for LLM, you must give the test. These are the main programs where the entrance test is mandatory.
For other courses, you don't need to give any test. You can take admission directly. This makes the university a great choice for many students but if you want scholarships, then you can give CUCET.
