If you are still contemplating whether doing an MBA from India is worth it or should you aim for top universities abroad, here’s a look at both the alternatives and how the two stack up against each other.
GMAT vs CAT
Let us start with the basic point of difference, that of the MBA aptitude tests. If you are aiming for the universities abroad, you would in all probability be required to write the GMAT. If, on the other hand you are aiming at the top universities in the country…CAT is the preferred exam.
Top B-Schools Abroad vs Top B-Schools in India
To the students who ask me which is better, I simply tell them you cannot compare an orange to an apple. That is how varied the two are. While both the sets of colleges offer excellent future prospects, the admission process for them are varied and different. The biggest difference being – work experience.
Other MBA Colleges in India vs Mid-level MBA Colleges Abroad
This is a completely different premise altogether. And the answer is simple – if you can afford, a mid-level university abroad is better than a MBA from a private institutes in India. Simply put, the return on investment is better. In fact, some of the universities abroad offer you much cheaper options. For instance, an MBA from Germany would cost you comparatively less and also give you the added advantage of studying abroad.
