The placements of COT are decent Right now.
I won't say very good but yes Good enough to give every student the chance to get selected in Campus placements.
If you are good in studies and have the zeal to do it you will make it.
There is no branch in Pantnagar for which Companies don't come for Placement.
Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Students Get the highest Packages every Year in Placements.
Companies like Hero , John Deere , Mahindra&Mahindra , Escorts etc come for their Placements.
Students of Computer Engineering , IT and ECE mostly end up in TCS.
A few companies come for EE or They also get their chance in TCS.

Engineering is all about practical knowledge which you can't get from your books completely so while choosing a engineering college prefer the colleges which had better lab facilities. I have heard that Jaypee is a good one. If you want try in Amity University Noida or Mumbai both offer B.Tech Biotechnology. DY Patil is also has no problem, they have good infrastructure (Sorry don't know about Faculty)
Some best colleges for Biotechnology are
IIT Madras ( Has best labs for biotechnology, it has been shown in movie Chennai vs china )
SRM University, Chennai
VIT, Vellore
BIT, Pilani
Manipal Institute Of Technology, Manipal
I am personally studying B.Tech Genetic engineering from SRM University Chennai. Here they have a good infrastructure and a very good faculty.

There are many private and government engineering colleges for lateral entry to get admission in B.Tech course. Here, I have mentioned few good government engineering colleges for lateral entry.
1)NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh.
2)SLIET, Punjab.

Faculty: Very good but is very strict at the same time(exceptions are always there).
Infrastructure: Good. AC in almost every class (a thing u could not expect in a government college)
Where it lacks?
Its name !!! (being a minority religious college)

The eligibility for Bachelor Of Education at Swadeshi college of Education is Graduation And the number of seats is about 150-200 per batch for which it can be easy to get admission as per larger number of seats and can be easy to apply for it. The cut off will be as per the graduation score merits or any counsellings.

Sandip Foundation is only about showing off the infrastructure and scenery to lure prospective students.
All other things are negative about the college. It has got the extra strictness to maintain its reputation.
Campus placements are just a gimmick to fool people.
One can safely say that only those people attend Sandip who do not get admitted elsewhere, so you can think of the kind of atmosphere that you will find there.
The canteen facilities are utterly useless and lack of any taste whatsoever.
The authorities and staff are only cared about their reputation and not about the students. The teaching quality isn't worth it.

I would say that Sandip University is definitely a good choice for engineering. I am currently an engineering student at Sandip University and so far my experience has been positive. The faculty is very well experienced and quite helpful to students also. Student to teacher ratio in class is low so that professors are able to give us personal attention in class. The labs are very good here, practical sessions are included in the curriculum for all engineering students, and the university updates the lab regularly to help us with skill development.

Fee structure at S. M. I is around 84,000 in first year and it remains in nearly about in this range only in all three years which include each and every thing except for admission fee and the examination form fee that you need to fill every semester

It is quite unfortunate to say that from now onwards government has done it mandatory to give NEET exam for nursing also in each and every college. So, it depends on cut off of NEET in which you have to at least score of 660 out of 720
