This time,MICAT will have the following sections:
• Verbal Reasoning
• Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
• Psychometric Section
• Logical Reasoning
• Creative Writing
• General Awareness and Current Affairs
As you must be aware, there is no weightage to your CAT/XAT/GMAT scores and all evaluation will be done on the basis of your MICAT performance.
For the Quant and DI section, it is advisable to use the same material that you did for CAT and XAT. To get a fair idea of the level involved, you can check out the sample MICAT paper uploaded on the MICA website.
For verbal reasoning, you will not need any special preparation but just make sure you are comfortable with general verbal abilities required in CAT/XAT.
For GK and current affairs, please make sure you read the daily headlines and know what is making news around the world. This will not only help in the GK section but also in the creative writing section where one part includes essay writing (the subject of which is usually something making news recently).
For creative writing, you can refer to the 2014 Official MICA Discussion Group and Vitamin MICA group on Facebook - these are the best resources for preparation and getting your queries resolved.
Lastly, the psychometric section. This is an evaluation of you as a person and you just need to be honest about yourself while answering these questions. Do NOT try to manipulate the answers here.
General tips :
Practise writing everyday. If you have a blog, revive it with some posts.
Time your writing, you will need to maintain a good speed while writing the MICAT.
Don't stress about the MICAT, it is one of the coolest B-school exams you will give. Trust me, you will really enjoy writing it.

First, try to find out from the net, what are the various branches of engineering.They range from electronics to ceramics. Find out what they are, and how physics and mathematics are applied to them in real life situations. Then you can come closer to a decision.
Ever wondered what are the applications of engineering in the Delhi Metro Rail Project-it encompasses electronics, electrical, mechanical and many other streams of engineering. And, all of them encompass physics and mathematics.
By the time you have labored on this aspect all by yourself, you shall have become wiser. Then, start consulting your elders and seniors who are in the filed of enginenering in various disciplines.
