JIMS is currently affiliated to GGSIPU. There have been questions raised by Delhi HC on the university providing affiliation to institutes outside Delhi since it is out of its scope and hence unconstitutional. But the site of JIME still claims to be affiliated to GGSIPU so maybe the matter is settled. But do check about its affiliation.

The eligibility criteria for MA in English is 50% aggregate in graduation from any recognized university. Further, admissions are mostly based on entrance exam marks. If you qualify for CUET PG or any other state level or university specific entrance exam, you can easily get admission to good colleges and universities. Some universities may also give admission on a merit basis. For instance, you may get in via merit mode in MA in English at Delhi University if you have completed BA in English from DU itself. The university releases separate cut-off lists for both entrance and merit modes of admission.
