Yes, TU Dresden is largely free for Indian students. Being a public university Germany, Technical Uni of Dresden does not charge any tuition fees from students from India, for most courses.

Yes, NIT Patna is a good option if you want to get admission in Engineering programmes. Since it is part of the NITs, it holds a certain prestige and reputation. NIRF 2025 ranked the institute at 53 under the Engineering and 13 for Architecture. It is also recognised by the GoI as 'Institute of National Importance'. Some strong points for the institute include its placements, strong alumni network, and decent ROI. So yes, if a good and reputable Engineering government institute is your goal and the cutoff is attainable, then NIT Patna is a good option.
