Selecting a particular topic depends on your personal preference, however you may consider some of the below mentioned points while selecting a topic for pursuing Phd:
- Is the proposed topic worth researching and will it lead to significant new knowledge.
- Is it possible to find a supervisor who knows the field and will be able to provide an appropriate level of support and guidance
- Does the topic lie between academic disciplines.
It is crucial at the start of a PhD project to select an appropriate research topic, therefore you should discuss your proposals with potential supervisors and with students who are already embarked on their projects.

Dear Abhi, I hate to break your dreams but unfortunately, due to bad result of your graduation, admission in any decent college of USA is not possible. While, gap is of no worry, student VISA is issued only after you have secured the admission. The procedure is :-
1. Appear for GRE and TOEFL/IELTS on line exams.
2. Apply to your target college with GRE & TOEFL/IELTS score, all marksheets from 10th to graduation, two letters of recommendations, an essay called "statement of Purpose" and registration fees.
If your admission is accepted, you will be forwarded a form called I-20. Now you will have to apply for student VISA to American consulate along with financial documents (to prove that you can sustain in USA for the study period) , passport and I-20.

Dear Ravi, in last one hour you have asked this question three times about different colleges. To reply you, PGDM(Post Graduate Diploma in Management) and MBA are same post graduate degrees and have similar value as far as job is concerned. MBA degree is generally given by government and AICTE approved institutions and has more or less fixed syllabus. PGDM is offered by autonomous, IIMs and deemed universities. It has flexible syllabus and tailor made for industry demands. For example, new management concepts like hospitality, hospital management, supply chain etc. Therefore, if you want to pursue in these specializations, go for PGDM. However, if you you are more keen on traditional specializations like Finance, HR, Marketing then go for MBA.
No institute mentions pay package and placement in their prospectus. Packages are not fixed either by companies or for each students. It varies according to company profile and individual student's talent. Only thing you should ensure that the institution has a good placement cell which conducts regular campus placement. This can be ensured only after you have visited the college and seen the infrastructure.
Pay package also varies according to the reputation and ranking of the institutions. For example, pay starts from Rs.8 Lac onward for IIM students and go up to a crore rupees but not all IIM students get a crore rupees package.
All top B-school take their students through CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT as regular candidates and their fees starts from Rs. 3 lac and goes up to Rs. 15 Lac. Higher is the ranking of the B-school, higher will be the fees and higher will be the opportunity to grab higher pay package during the campus placement.
