Hi Tintu, As you have been told that PGDM is a diploma. PGDM is an acronym for Post Graduate Diploma in Management while MBA stands for Master in Business Administration. MBA is degree. The main difference between these two is that a Degree is provided by only a University. An autonomous body (college, institute) can't provide any degree. they can provide only diploma and certificate approved by AICTE. Even IIMs, XLRI's don't offer MBA degrees they only give Diploma since they are autonomous and independent bodies.
The good point in autonomous body is that they design their own syllabus to be taught and they change it very frequently bu

Hi,
Please note that the eligibility criteria to pursue Ph.D varies from institute to institute. However the basic requirement is a masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two research publications for the Ph.D programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
So as per your query I would suggest you to:

2. Once shortlisted you may then contact the admission department of these universities to know the exact eligibility criteri

Institute does not offer specialization as part of diploma. It gives general PGDM to all its candidates. Although you can select the electives in second year in such a manner that your portfolio indicates your interest towards particular domain, in your case it is HR.
