Hi Tintu, As you have been told that PGDM is a diploma. PGDM is an acronym for Post Graduate Diploma in Management while MBA stands for Master in Business Administration. MBA is degree. An autonomous body (college, institute) can't provide any degree. they can provide only diploma and certificate approved by AICTE. Even IIMs, XLRI's don't offer MBA degrees they only give Diploma since they are autonomous and independent bodies.

Hi,
Please note that the eligibility criteria to pursue Ph.D varies from institute to institute. However the basic requirement is a masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.

2. Once shortlisted you may then contact the admission department of these universities to know the exact eligibility criteri

Institute does not offer specialization as part of diploma. It gives general PGDM to all its candidates. Although you can select the electives in second year in such a manner that your portfolio indicates your interest towards particular domain, in your case it is HR.
