Dear Naveen, Please don't send your daughter to Lingaya's. It's a bad, bad college. Faculty is the worst of its class - most teachers can't even speak English, leave alone knowing their own subject. The staff there does not treat you very well. It's more like a government office where you have to go from desk to desk for getting small things done. Then, it's like a jail. They don't let you move out before the college officially shuts in the evening, so even if you are free all day, you'll be forced to stay confined inside the college campus. Placements are below average. Life at Lingaya's is truly miserable: they don't have even clean toilets out there! Their buses have broken doors and windows and are non-ac. Besides travelling to that location is a tedious task in itself considering the badly broken roads and the bad surroundings which are also unsafe for girls. Lingaya's to me was a traumatic nightmare that I'm trying to forget. Please don't make the same mistake as I did by joining Lingaya's University. Trust me, please. I am trying to help you.

If you're creative, you can consider going for Design and Animation. However, you must first check if you're suited for Animation. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this. Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring. Typically go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website. Wish you the best for your career. Animation is a multi-disciplinary art-science. It calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, creativity to technical prowess.
A student of Animation must first learn the 'Art of Animation' on paper. This involves learning Concept Design (for Sets and Props), Human Anatomy (for Character Design), Storyboarding (for visual storytelling), Color Theory (for lighting and shading) and finally 12 Character Animation Principles (for bringing your characters to life). Don't just learn software's for digital artistry, give emphasis on learning the Foundation on paper first.
After acquiring the artistic skills on paper,you must learn the software for expressing their skills in the Digital Medium.
