Should you go for other stream is a matter of personal choice. If you have other interests figure out the same, know your likes and dislikes. Basis your grades you will find options but not the the reputed ones. You can see here for different options and colleges in Mumbai

The entrance exam will be conducted in mid of December. Post exam the results will be declared in mid of January. Once the results are out the colleges will call you for the further process of GD-PIWAT provided that you clear the cut off of that college for the current year. These processes are conducted generally in the month of February. For more details you can go to college website and check the exact dates for the current year processes. All the best.

The average fee structure for B.Tech in Information Technology in private colleges is about 6.36 Lacs. And Fee structure depends on the colleges and university which is not mentioned by you. I would suggest you some information technology colleges in Punjab are RIMT University, Chandigarh University, Lovely Professional University, Desg Bhagat University etc.
