Hello, Aspiring Managers, Very appropriate question ! Many of the students and their beloved parents are confused about whether to choose MBA or PGDM. Even I had this doubt when I was filling out my application for it. So I did some research to get a better idea of it, and here are my takeaways
MBA expands to Master of Business Administration, which is a Postgraduate Degree in Management offered by most management institutes and universities across the world. As MBA is a Masters degree, only recognised institutions affiliated with reputed universities can offer a degree in Business Administration. Such universities follow a single curriculum designed for the course while offering Bachelors, Masters, or doctorate degrees. PGDM is post graduate Diploma in management, a Diploma course and is not considered a degree. PGDM can also be offered by autonomous institutes not affiliated with any university. Such institutes cannot offer an MBA degree. All India Council for Technical Education AICTE approves colleges to offer PGDM courses in India.
