Placement: Both Presidency University and Jadavpur University have a good placement record for their B.Sc. graduates, with reputed companies, research institutes, and academic organizations recruiting from their campuses. The average salary package offered to Presidency University graduates in 2021 was Rs. 6.5 Lacs per annum, while the average salary package offered to Jadavpur University graduates in 2021 was Rs. 7.2 Lacs per annum  . Therefore, Jadavpur University has a slight edge over Presidency University in terms of salary prospects.

Yes, students who meet the minimum cutoff for the BA LLB programme at NLSIU can potentially secure a seat. However, it's important to note that the cutoff is the last rank or minimum marks for which the university offers admission. It depends on factors such as the number of seats offered, reservation, number of applicants, and their performance in CLAT.

The NLSIU cutoff in 2023 for the BA LLB (Hons) programme was quite competitive, with the last round closing rank standing at 114. In 2022 and 2021, the last round closing ranks were 149 and 83, respectively.

Therefore, while meeting the cutoff is a requirement, it does not guarantee admission due to the competitive nature of the process. The higher a candidate's rank or score in the CLAT exam, the better their chances of securing a seat.

Eligibility criteria for B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Programme at NLSIU are as follows :

1. The candidate must have completed class 12 with at least 45% overall.
2. SC and ST candidates must have completed class 12 with an aggregate of at least 40%.
3. The candidate must clear the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
4. Applicants must pass a higher secondary or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45 per cent (40 per cent for ST/SC candidates) in their first attempt.
5. Applicants must be under the age of 20.
