Since the institute is exclusively for the wards of Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel, no other reservation is entertained. Seat distribution at AIT is as follows:

• Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics & Telecommunication: 120 seats each
• Mechanical Engineering, Automation & Robotics Engineering: 60 seats each.
